Our Criminal & White Collar Defense team represents individuals and businesses facing allegations involving all types of federal and state offenses. Our attorneys have won numerous acquittals in high-profile cases, litigating and taking to trial complex cases of all kinds, involving everything from securities/mail fraud, bribery, racketeering and embezzlement to drug offenses, sex crimes, murder cases and a multitude of other felonies. We also handle complex civil rights litigation involving such issues as malicious prosecution, false arrest, and the use of excessive force.
We are often retained by clients to handle investigations, subpoenas, grand jury presentations, and FBI and other government interviews. Through grit, tenacity, and courtroom skill, our defense attorneys have put together an impressive string of trial victories that span more than two decades. We have had tremendous success in thwarting or shutting down prosecutions before they result in an arrest or indictment. In additional to trial work, our attorneys are skilled at appellate and post-judgment client representation. Many of our cases have garnered national media attention on various outlets such as Court TV, CNN, The New York Times and USA Today and our attorneys are often consulted by the media to offer expert opinions on criminal matters.
All of our Criminal & White Collar Defense attorneys are former prosecutors or former public defenders. They bring those skills and experiences to the table in vigorously pursuing the rights of the firm’s clients.

Mr. Barket is best known for a number of cases that have garnered national media attention on various outlets such as Court TV, CNN, The New York Times and USA Today. One recent example is the Martin Tankleff double homicide case in which Mr. Barket and a team of attorneys freed a man from jail after nearly 20 years of incarceration by establishing that the murder of his parents was committed by others.
