Acquittal of Client Charged with Theft of Corporate Funds

Amy Marion obtained an acquittal of a client who was alleged to have stolen corporate funds. Witnesses testified that the client was in charge of corporate cash funds being gathered for a company outing. Witnesses, including the client’s boss, testified that only the client was in charge of the funds. Numerous witnesses testified to seeing the client take possession of the funds and that the client kept the funds under lock and key in her desk draw. Through Ms. Marion’s vigorous cross-examination of the prosecution witnesses, Ms. Marion’s client was acquitted of all charges when it became clear that Ms. Marion’s version of the events as presented to the jury through her cross-examination was the rendition of events believed by the jury.
