Never Give Up

Our client’s back problems were so severe that he could no longer perform his job in the cable television industry. A federal judge, relying on some of the more harsher aspects of ERISA, completely dismissed our client’s case. We knew the judge was wrong and we vigorously pursued an appeal. The federal appeals court agreed with Quadrino & Schwartz, reversed the decision of the judge, and determined that the client was indeed disabled. Not only did the insurance company pay 100% of all of the benefits in arrears, the insurance company was forced to pay interest on all of the withheld disability benefits. Moreover, we obtained an award of legal fees, under ERISA, in the sum of $170,000.00.
