Obtained Dismissal of A-1 Felony Charges

A client was indicted on A-1 felony drug charges and faced a mandatory sentence of 8 to 20 years. Amy Marion submitted a motion to the court to dismiss the case based on the legal insufficiency of the evidence presented after listening to the District Attorney’s tape-recorded evidence. The taped evidence clearly supported our defense that the client did not commit the A-1 offense. The court, agreeing with Ms. Marion, ruled in the client’s favor, resulting in dismissal of the A-1 felony charge and making the client eligible for probation on the remaining counts.
